NFL. Premier Article – Week 17

The purpose of this new feature to RotoRadar is train all of our members to be better DFS players. Obviously at the end of the day you can absolutely take our lineup and just plug and play it into tournaments, but we want to provide our members with tools that will make you a better overall DFS player. My “Top 3” will break down my very favorite plays at each position. Obviously there are instances where roster construction prevents you from putting in some of your favorite plays and sometimes even your favorite overall play at the position. This article will base my top picks on a combination of pricing, value, points per dollar, matchup, detailed analysis breakdown, recent performance and much more. It is highly recommended to take these picks and create your own lineups out of them. Just to take you into my traditional work week my research begins Tuesday nights and then continues until lock. With the primary purpose of this article to provide the tools necessary to create your own lineup, my top 3 will come out every Saturday no later than 3 p.m. MTN. This will provide ample time to mix and match players from my top 3 with some of your personal top players of the week to create an optimum lineup of your very own. There will still be research done after the article is posted, but the article itself will have more than 3 nights of research put into it. So take advantage of it! We want to look for ways to give our members a competitive advantage over the rest of the playing field. Hopefully this will provide exactly that.

  • Initial thoughts – The initial thoughts of the NFL week 17 slate of games revolves around the motivation of teams with playoff implications. The cash lineup will be focused on targeting the games in which teams have something to play for. The GPP lineup will have a broader range of options and target all games regardless of playoff implications and target backups that are starting because of teams resting their starters.

  • Final Note – The RotoRadar Premier lineup has caught fire the last three weeks and will try to make it four main slates in a row cashing in 50/50’s. The week 17 slate of games is a tricky slate that gets funneled down to targeting players in playoff games and players who are getting the start from other players resting. The one exception to the rule for my cash lineup will be David Johnson ($9,700). Play smart, don’t get cute, and most importantly have fun with this great slate of games.
